As we approach the time when it will be necessary to submit rule change proposals for discussion at the AGM, it is interesting to note that two teams are in automatic promotion positions as the result of applying rule 16.  Equally there are two teams who have been severely affected by applying the same rule, when otherwise they may have been much closer to promotion places.  To date there have been 10 fines for late results so teams affected may also wish to consider submitting a proposal to change rule 18A.

As a committee we only apply the rules (as we were advised to do at the last AGM) so teams will have to submit proposals rather than blaming everyone else.

The following stats are likely to change on a weekly basis now that most teams have played the necessary 8 away games. The highest gents away average is 47.63 by Pete Croy from the Rustlers, and the highest ladies away average is 44.75 by Chris Malin from Odds & Sods.  The gents highest score to date of 61 is now held by Adam Westmacott from Badsey Lads, whilst the highest ladies individual score is 59 held by Sarah Osborne from the Castaways.  There are no prizes for the highest overall average (a combination of home and away games) but that is now held by John Osborne of Castaways with an average of 47.33.  Really very good consistent skittling after 15 games played.

There is now a flurry of teams looking to get into this club.  9 teams have recorded a team score of over 450.  Castaways from Division 4 (brilliant), Trackers from Division 3, Badsey Lads, Nomads, Odds & Sods, Goodalls, Buccaneers, Hampton (twice) and Donegalers (4 times) all from Division 1.  Good scoring.  There are no prizes for these achievements, but, if we go out to play the game to the best of our abilities, it is nice to have success recognised.  The season's highest score is 468 by Hampton WMC.
