Unfortunately another team has been fined for submitting a late result.
As we approach the time when it will be necessary to submit rule change proposals for discussion at the AGM, it is interesting to note that two teams are in automatic promotion positions as the result of applying rule 16. Equally there are two teams who have been severely affected by applying the same rule, when otherwise they may have been much closer to promotion places. To date there have been 8 fines for late results so teams affected may also wish to consider submitting a proposal to change to rule 18A.
As a committee we only apply the rules (as we were advised to do at the last AGM) so teams will have to submit proposals rather than blaming everyone else. Contrary to perceived opinion I do not like imposing fines because I believe we all go out to have a good night out and to enjoy a game of skittles.
5 gents share the top individual score of 60 and to date the highest ladies individual score is now 59 by Sarah Osborne from the Castaways.
5 teams have recorded a team score of over 450. Castaways from Division 4 (brilliant), Nomads, Odds & Sods, Hampton (twice) and Donegalers (3 times) all from Division 1. Good scoring.
